Microsoft Translator has just included two more Indian languages, Chhattisgarhi and Manipuri, expanding its language support to a total of 20, covering over 95% of India’s population.
Chhattisgarhi is spoken by approximately 16 million people across Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra. Meanwhile, Manipuri is spoken by about 3 million people in Manipur and some communities in Assam and Tripura, as well as parts of Bangladesh and Myanmar.
Microsoft Translator now supports a diverse range of Indian languages, including Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Dogri, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Nepali, Odia, Punjabi, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. Additionally, it caters to two other regional languages, Bhojpuri and Chhattisgarhi.
