Xiaomi’s Buttonless Phone: A Future of Smartphones?

Have you ever imagined a smartphone with no physical buttons? Xiaomi might be turning that vision into reality. According to a new leak, the tech giant is working on a revolutionary device, codenamed “Zhuque,” that could launch next year without any physical buttons.
Leaker chunvn8888 revealed that Zhuque is in early development stages, as reported by SmartPrix. This could mark a significant step in smartphone design, as Xiaomi aims to set trends, not just follow them.

What’s Special About Zhuque?

Zhuque could feature a true all-screen design with no physical buttons, possibly using gesture controls, pressure-sensitive edges, or voice commands instead. If successful, this could redefine smartphone design standards.
Additionally, an under-display selfie camera might be in the works, a technology previously attempted by other companies like Samsung. Integrating this into an all-screen phone could offer a seamless display experience.

Powerful Performance Under the Hood

The phone is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 4 processor, similar to the one anticipated for Xiaomi’s 15S Pro in 2025. Although details are sparse, the processor is expected to deliver significant performance enhancements.
While specifics on the display, battery, or camera are not fully known, this leak hints at Xiaomi’s ambitious plans to disrupt the market. If all goes according to plan, we might see Zhuque launch in the first half of 2025.
In addition to Zhuque, Xiaomi is also reportedly developing its own mobile processor and a tri-fold phone, expected to debut early next year.
