SpaceX Sends 23 Starlink Satellites into Orbit with Falcon 9 this Friday

This Friday, April 12th, SpaceX’s Starlink project is getting a boost! They’re sending up 23 more satellites into space on a Falcon 9 rocket. The launch is happening at 9:22 p.m. From the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in sunny Florida, Eastern Time (ET) is where the action begins. If they need to, they’ve got backup launch times until 12:48 a.m. ET on Saturday, April 13th. You can watch the launch live on X @SpaceX, starting about five minutes before it takes off.
This is a big deal because it’s the 20th time they’ve used this Falcon 9 rocket booster. It’s done some important missions before, like helping with GPS satellites, the Inspiration4 crew mission, and several Starlink launches. After it sends the satellites on their way, the booster stage will come back down to Earth and land on a special platform in the Atlantic Ocean called “A Shortfall of Gravitas” droneship.
This launch is happening right after SpaceX sent up another important mission – the USSF-62 mission for the U.S. Space Force. They launched a new weather satellite into space from California. It’s all part of SpaceX’s work, and it’s their 12th time helping out the National Security Space Launch program.
