SpaceX Aims for Double Rocket Action: Two Falcon 9 Liftoffs on the Horizon

Get ready for an exciting weekend as SpaceX gears up for two Falcon 9 launches! Watch live as they send satellites into orbit, marking milestones in space exploration. Don’t miss out on this double rocket action!

SpaceX has a packed schedule this weekend with not one but two Falcon 9 launches lined up from Florida. First up is the European Commission’s Galileo L12 mission on Saturday, April 27, followed by the Starlink mission on Sunday, April 28.
On Saturday evening, a Falcon 9 rocket will take off with the Galileo L12 mission from Kennedy Space Center’s Launch Complex 39A at 8:34 p.m. ET. You can catch the live webcast of this mission on SpaceX’s website, starting about 10 minutes before liftoff.
This launch will mark the 20th and final journey for this particular Falcon 9 first stage booster, which has supported various missions in the past, including GPS III-3, Turksat 5A, Transporter-2, and several Starlink missions.
Then on Sunday, around 5:50 p.m. ET, SpaceX will send another batch of 23 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station’s Space Launch Complex 40. If needed, backup windows extend into Monday evening.
This mission on Sunday represents the 13th flight for the first stage booster, which has previously launched missions like CRS-26, OneWeb Launch 16, and six Starlink missions. Once the rocket’s first stage separates, it’s headed back down to earth. But don’t worry, it’s not a crash landing! It’s aiming for a precise touchdown on the “Just Read the Instructions” droneship, floating calmly in the Atlantic Ocean.
