Han So Hee’s Collaborations Fizzle Out in the Wake of Relationship Revelations with Ryu Jun Yeol

In a twist of events following the confirmation of Han So Hee’s relationship with actor Ryu Jun Yeol, there’s been a shakeup in her endorsement deals. Several brands have decided to part ways with the actress, leading to speculations about the timing of these decisions in relation to her personal life revelations.

Lotte Chilsung Beverage Drops Han So Hee

One of the most notable splits occurred with Lotte Chilsung Beverage, known for their soju brand “Cheoeum Cheoreom.” Han So Hee’s departure was announced in early March, with a company spokesperson stating, “After a year-long partnership with Han So Hee, we’ve decided not to renew the contract. We’re yet to decide on the next face for our advertising.” Han So Hee’s presence was significant due to her active engagement with fans on social media, making her departure a quick change compared to previous brand ambassadors like Lee Hyori and Suzy, who stayed longer with the brand.

NH Nonghyup Bank and HeyDealer Make Adjustments

Additionally, her three-year collaboration with NH Nonghyup Bank came to an end at the beginning of the month. Han had been the face of the bank since 2021, but industry insiders suggest the company is seeking a fresh approach for their promotions.
Meanwhile, HeyDealer, a used car trading platform, took action by disabling comments on their YouTube ads featuring Han So Hee due to negative feedback following the recent news.

Han So Hee’s Journey in Entertainment

Despite these changes in her commercial partnerships, Han So Hee has had a remarkable career in the entertainment industry. From appearing in SHINee’s “Tell Me What To Do” music video in 2016 to her impactful roles in dramas like “The World of the Married,” she’s garnered praise for her acting skills. Her role in “The World of the Married” even earned the series the title of the highest-rated Korean cable television series, and Han herself was honored with a nomination for Best New Actress at the 56th Baeksang Arts Awards.
In January 2024, Han revealed that her entry into the entertainment world wasn’t planned. Originally aiming for higher education in France, financial constraints led her to part-time jobs and eventually acting, following the suggestion of her agency’s head.
Despite the discussion sparked by her departure from several brand deals, Han So Hee’s acting career and influence on social media remain strong. With roles in significant productions like “My Name” on Netflix and the Disney+ mini-series “Soundtrack#1,” she continues to be a prominent figure in the entertainment industry, both in Korea and internationally.
