SpaceX’s Starlink satellite internet service experienced some degradation, prompting an investigation by its team. Nevertheless, CEO Elon Musk reassured that the satellites were holding up well under pressure.
The auroras, displaying brilliant hues of purple, green, yellow, and pink, were sighted across the globe, from Germany and Switzerland to China and England. In the United States, the phenomenon was observed as far south as Florida and captivated residents in several Midwestern states.

While the storm posed minimal disruptions, past extreme geomagnetic storms have caused significant impacts, including power outages and damage to power transformers. Despite potential disruptions to GPS signals, NOAA assured that any outages should be short-lived due to the abundance of navigation satellites.
