During the film’s shoot, a picture allegedly leaked online, showing Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr. in an action sequence. A social media user shared the pic, claiming, “#War2 Leaked Scene #HrithikRoshan and Jr. NTR will set the Big Screen on fire #Tiger cameo confirmed”.
Fans reacted with curiosity and skepticism. One fan speculated if the “Tiger” mentioned referred to Salman Khan’s spy character or Tiger Shroff from the original “War.” Another commented on Hrithik’s look compared to his appearance in “War.” A third fan expressed excitement, praising both actors, while a fourth doubted the picture’s authenticity, noting discrepancies in the actors’ current looks.
It turns out the skeptical fans were right—the picture is fake. It combines an old image from Hrithik Roshan’s Mountain Dew ad with NTR Jr.’s character from “Janatha Garage.”
“War 2,” directed by Ayan Mukerji, is the sixth film in Yash Raj Films’ Spy Universe and a direct sequel to the 2019 blockbuster “War.” Unlike the first film, which featured Tiger Shroff, this sequel stars Telugu superstar NTR Jr., who gained nationwide fame after SS Rajamouli’s “RRR.” Also starring Kiara Advani, “War 2” is slated for release on August 14, 2025.
