Rajkummar Rao is having a busy month, gearing up for the release of “Mr & Mrs Mahi” on May 31 while enjoying the success of his recent film “Srikanth.” Among the many celebrities praising him, Akshay Kumar recently joined in, lauding Rao’s performance and humorously suggesting that he should start teaching acting.
In an Instagram story, Akshay Kumar wrote, “Nothing is impossible. #Srikanth is a must watch! Picture dekh ke mazza aa gaya. Rajkummar Rao, bhai ab toh acting classes shuru kar de. You are simply brilliant.” Rajkummar Rao responded warmly, saying, “Thank you so much my dearest Akshay sir. Aapse hi seekhte hai sir. You’re the best.” Rao’s exceptional acting and versatility in “Srikanth” have been widely recognized.
In “Srikanth,” Rao portrays the visually impaired industrialist Srikanth Bolla, impressively capturing Bolla’s mannerisms. Fans and critics alike have praised his performance, noting how seamlessly he brought the real-life character to the screen. This role is anticipated to earn Rao another National Award.
“Srikanth,” directed by Tushar Hiranandani, also stars Alaya F, Jyothika, and Sharad Kelkar. The film has received positive reviews but has had modest box office earnings, with Rs 1.65 crore, Rs 1.6 crore, and Rs 1.45 crore on days 5, 6, and 7, respectively. The biopic highlights Srikanth Bolla’s journey as a visually impaired individual who graduated from MIT and became a successful industrialist known for employing unskilled and differently-abled individuals. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, and Nidhi Parmar Hiranandani.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar is currently filming “Jolly LLB 3” with Arshad Warsi.
