Vivo has become the first brand to roll out a stable Android 15 update, surpassing Google and Samsung. This update is now available for devices like the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro and the Vivo X100 series, even before the official debut of Funtouch OS 15 on September 30. Select iQOO smartphones are also expected to receive the update soon.
Google recently released the Android 15 AOSP build, which serves as a base for various custom Android interfaces. The Pixel 9 series and other eligible Pixel devices will receive their updates in October, while Samsung has not yet released a beta version of OneUI 7. Other brands like OnePlus, Nothing, and Xiaomi are expected to update some devices to Android 15 by the end of 2024.
Typically, Google is the first to roll out the latest stable Android updates, followed closely by brands like Samsung and OnePlus. However, this year, Vivo has surpassed expectations by becoming the first company to launch a stable version of Android 15, now available for devices such as the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro and the Vivo X100 series. While Vivo plans to officially introduce Funtouch OS 15 on September 30, some users have already started receiving the update ahead of time. It’s anticipated that select iQOO smartphones, which also utilize Funtouch OS, will receive this update soon.
