T20 World Cup: Afghanistan To Face South Africa, India To Clash With England In Semi finals

After Afghanistan’s thrilling victory against Bangladesh in the final Super Eight clash of the T20 World Cup, the semifinalists have been confirmed: England, South Africa, India, and Afghanistan.
India and South Africa remain undefeated in the tournament, topping their respective groups in the Super Eight stage. Led by Rohit Sharma, India secured their semifinal berth with wins over Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Australia. Meanwhile, South Africa continued their winning streak by defeating the USA, England, and the West Indies.
England began their Super Eight campaign with a dominant eight-wicket win over the West Indies but faced a setback with a seven-run loss to South Africa. They bounced back strongly, however, with a 10-wicket victory over the USA to secure their place in the semifinals.
Afghanistan’s journey in the tournament has been remarkable, marked by highs and lows. They started strong with a convincing 84-run win over New Zealand and followed it with a notable victory over Australia in the Super Eight, despite a loss to India. Their historic win over Bangladesh in the final Super Eight match sealed their spot in the semifinals.
In the first semifinal on June 27 at 6 AM IST, South Africa will take on Afghanistan at Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba. Later on the same day at 8 PM IST, India will face defending champions England at Providence Stadium, Guyana.
