Salman Khan and Rajinikanth to Star Together in Atlee’s Next, Aiming for Indian Cinema’s First Rs 3000 Crore Film

After the massive success of “Jawan” starring Shah Rukh Khan, director Atlee is gearing up for his next project. Reports suggest he is in talks with Salman Khan for the lead role in this upcoming mass action film, which is expected to be a two-hero project. The other lead role is rumored to be offered to South Indian superstar Rajinikanth.
This collaboration is being touted as Indian cinema’s first Rs 3000 crore film, featuring the two legendary actors. A source told Bollywood Hungama that Atlee, Salman Khan, and Rajinikanth are scheduled to meet next month to finalize the deal. The film will be produced by Sun Pictures, who have a strong relationship with Rajinikanth, while Atlee has been in discussions with Salman Khan for the past two years.
Salman Khan is expected to start working on the film after completing “Sikandar,” while Rajinikanth will begin after wrapping up “Coolie.” The film is set to go on floors by the end of the year.
If confirmed, this casting coup is anticipated to be a historic event in Indian cinema, likely to create a box office sensation. Fans are already excited about the potential collaboration, predicting it to be the biggest blockbuster ever. One fan commented, “Indian cinema’s first 3000 cr movie loading,” while another said, “Box Office tsunami loading.”
Previously, Atlee has expressed interest in working on a script starring Shah Rukh Khan and Thalapathy Vijay. However, with Thalapathy Vijay announcing his retirement from acting to pursue a political career, the focus is now on the potential Salman Khan and Rajinikanth union.
