In a surprising move, Reliance Jio has revamped its Rs 349 prepaid plan, introducing notable changes to enhance customer satisfaction. This update follows a series of recent price hikes, indicating the company’s responsiveness to customer feedback.
On Friday, Jio rebranded its Rs 349 plan as Hero 5G, extending its validity from 28 to 30 days. While the daily data allowance remains at 2GB, the total data cap has been increased from 56GB to 60GB. This enhancement provides additional value without altering the daily data limit. Additionally, users in areas covered by Jio’s True 5G service will now enjoy unlimited 5G internet access, benefiting those with 5G-enabled devices in regions with Jio’s advanced network.
This plan update comes in the wake of recent tariff adjustments, including increases in plans such as the Rs 209 option (now Rs 249) and the Rs 666 plan (now Rs 799). The annual plan priced at Rs 2,999 has been revised to Rs 3,599, although the Rs 1,199 plan has been reduced to Rs 999 with an extended validity of 98 days.
Jio’s adjustments to the Rs 349 plan reflect a strategic balance between competitive pricing and service enhancements, aiming to bolster customer loyalty and improve the user experience. While these updates are a positive development for users, there has been no indication of similar revisions for other plans in the near future.
