The Google Pixel 9 series has launched in India, introducing a range of devices including the second-generation foldable, Watch 3, and Buds Pro 2. The series comprises the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL, each offering various features and price points.
Design and Display
Pixel 9 Features : a 6.3-inch Actua display with 60Hz and 120Hz refresh rates that must be adjusted manually. Pixel 9 Pro: Also has a 6.3-inch display but with adaptive refresh rates from 1Hz to 120Hz. Pixel 9 Pro XL : Boasts a larger 6.8-inch LTPO OLED screen with similar adaptive refresh rate technology.
All models are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on both the front and back panels. They are also IP68 rated for dust and water resistance.
Dimensions and Build
Pixel 9: Measures 8.5mm thick and weighs 198 grams.Pixel 9 Pro: Measures 8.5mm thick and weighs 199 grams. Pixel 9 Pro XL : Measures 8.5mm thick and weighs 221 grams.
Performance and Storage
All models are powered by the new Tensor G4 chipset, featuring advanced AI technology. They come with options of 12GB or 16GB RAM and up to 1TB of storage. Each phone runs on Android 14 and benefits from Google’s 7-year OS and Pixel Drop update policy.
Camera Systems
Pixel 9: Equipped with a dual rear camera system, including a 50MP wide sensor with OIS + EIS and a 48MP ultrawide lens. The front features a 10.5MP dual camera setup. Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL: Both models include a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP wide sensor, 48MP ultrawide lens, and a 48MP telephoto lens with OIS and EIS. The front-facing camera is a 42MP dual setup.
