Elon Musk Criticizes Melinda French Gates Over Biden Support

Elon Musk has openly criticized Melinda French Gates, ex-wife of Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, for her support of U.S. President Joe Biden. Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, expressed his discontent on Twitter, targeting the Gates Foundation’s political and philanthropic influence.
Musk tweeted, “The Gates Foundation’s influence is not a reason to have less scrutiny. If anything, it needs more scrutiny.” This comment addressed the foundation’s significant role, which Melinda French Gates co-chairs.
Musk’s remarks follow French Gates’ continued support for President Biden and her substantial contributions to his campaign. French Gates has been a vocal advocate for Biden, emphasizing his administration’s focus on public health, education, and economic recovery.
In an interview, French Gates stated, “Joe Biden is the leader who can bring us through these difficult times. His policies are what we need to recover and build a more equitable future.” She highlighted Biden’s efforts to address the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, and social inequality.
Musk’s criticism also reflects his broader concerns about the role of influential philanthropists in politics. He has previously called for greater transparency and accountability regarding the power and influence of large foundations.
