Vijay’s ‘GOAT’ Partners with ‘Avatar’ VFX Team for Spectacular Visuals

The upcoming film “GOAT,” directed by Venkat Prabhu and starring Vijay, is poised for a grand theatrical release on September 5. To enhance its high-budget fantasy elements, the movie will feature an extensive number of VFX frames, prompting the collaboration with a renowned Hollywood VFX team. Vijay and Venkat Prabhu are currently in the USA overseeing the VFX work on “GOAT.” Recently, the film’s creative producer, Archana Kalpathi, confirmed the commencement of post-production through social media. In a subsequent update, Kalpathi revealed the film’s VFX partner by sharing an image of the company’s premises on her Instagram story.
The selected Hollywood team boasts an impressive portfolio, having contributed to blockbuster films such as “Avatar,” “Captain Marvel,” “Avengers: Endgame,” and various other fantasy productions. Marking their debut in Kollywood with “GOAT,” the VFX unit returns to VFX work after a four-year hiatus. Excitement surged among fans upon learning of the Hollywood team’s involvement, particularly given reports of utilizing de-aging techniques for Vijay’s younger segments in the film.
Vijay, alongside director Venkat Prabhu, will continue monitoring the VFX progress of “GOAT” for a few more days at a studio in Los Angeles, USA, before returning to Chennai. Described as a time travel narrative, “GOAT” will showcase Vijay in dual roles with an ensemble cast featuring several prominent personalities. The film’s musical score is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
In addition, the much-anticipated “Indian 3,” featuring Kamal Haasan and directed by Shankar, will be officially unveiled on the big screen, providing further excitement for cinema enthusiasts.
