Tanushree Dutta has vehemently responded to recent statements by Nana Patekar regarding the MeToo allegations against him, labeling him a ‘pathological liar.’ In an interview with Times Now, she criticized Nana for dismissing the accusations as false, suggesting that his response stems from fear over his diminishing support base in Bollywood. Tanushree asserted, “Now, he is afraid, with his allies in Bollywood dwindling. Those who supported him are either bankrupt or have distanced themselves. People can see through his manipulations, hence his desperate attempt to gaslight again. Responding to allegations from six years ago! Nana Patekar is a pathological liar.”
Tanushree Dutta initially came forward with accusations against Nana Patekar for sexual harassment during the filming of Horn Ok Please in 2008. Despite facing backlash from both the entertainment industry and regional political groups in Maharashtra who supported Nana, she reiterated her claims during the MeToo India movement in 2018. She highlighted how speaking out about the harassment affected her career negatively.
