Kamal Haasan’s upcoming film, “Indian 2,” has been generating considerable excitement since its announcement. Reports suggest that both Haasan and director Shankar are planning a grand trailer launch for the highly anticipated project. Adding to the anticipation, audiences can also expect a sneak peek of “Indian 3,” the next installment in the vigilante action film series that began in 1996.
As the audience eagerly awaits further updates on “Indian 2,” the film’s makers are stepping up their promotional strategies. According to sources close to the production team, plans are underway for the trailer launch of “Indian 2.” A specialized consultant has been brought on board to oversee the trailers and pre-release assets for both “Indian 2” and “Indian 3.”
Speaking to Pinkvilla, a source revealed, “An action-packed, high-drama trailer for ‘Indian 2’ is currently in the works, with plans for a grand unveiling within the next month. The release date is set, with the Kamal Haasan-led vigilante film slated to hit screens around the Muharram period in July.”
In addition to the trailer launch, Shankar and Haasan are plotting major surprises to position “Indian 2” as the cinematic event of the year. Furthermore, a concise theatrical trailer for “Indian 3” will be featured during the end credits of “Indian 2.” The team also aims to announce the release of the third installment during the promotional activities for “Indian 2,” further heightening anticipation. Meanwhile, the trailer cut for “Indian 3” has already been finalized and is currently in post-production.
“Indian,” the original 1996 film starring Kamal Haasan, was a blockbuster across India. Nearly three decades later, Haasan and Shankar are reuniting for “Indian 2” to reignite the magic.
