Allu Arjun, who was previously arrested and remanded to 14 days of judicial custody in connection with the tragic death of a woman in a stampede during the *Pushpa 2* premiere at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad on December 4, has been granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court. The incident raised concerns over crowd management and safety at large events.

The court ruled that there was no malafide intent on Allu Arjun’s part in the ongoing case, granting him four weeks of interim bail with a personal bond of Rs 50,000.

Allu Arjun’s lawyer argued that the actor had no knowledge or intent that his visit to the theatre would result in such a tragedy, and that the incident was due to a crowd surge leading to asphyxiation, not any deliberate action by the actor. The lawyer also compared the case to a 2017 incident involving Shah Rukh Khan, who was involved in promoting *Raees* during a similar stampede.

The husband of the deceased woman, Revathi, has expressed his willingness to withdraw the case, stating that he does not hold Allu Arjun responsible for the stampede.
