The UAE warmly receives the 16th group of wounded Palestinian children and cancer patients as part of its ongoing humanitarian mission. This initiative underlines the nation’s dedication to providing critical medical care and support to those in dire need from the Gaza Strip.
Over the weekend, a group of Palestinian children and cancer patients arrived in the UAE, following the orders of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The aim was to ensure medical treatment for 1,000 injured children and 1,000 cancer patients from Gaza, providing them care at hospitals in the UAE.
The journey began from Al Arish International Airport in Egypt, with the plane landing at Zayed International Airport. On board were 25 patients needing urgent medical attention, along with 51 family members.
Upon arrival, medical teams wasted no time in getting the injured and critically ill patients to hospitals for treatment. Others were taken to the Emirates Humanitarian City, where they would stay with their companions. The UAE’s hospitals are renowned for their top-notch healthcare services, a testament to the country’s leadership’s commitment to compassionate care.
The families of these patients expressed deep gratitude to the United Arab Emirates and its leaders for this act of kindness. They saw it as a shining example of solidarity and support between nations. They noted that the UAE has consistently been at the forefront of extending help to the Palestinian people, standing by them through thick and thin. They also commended the dedicated efforts of the medical and volunteer teams who provided them with unwavering support.
Since the crisis erupted in Gaza, the UAE has been swift in providing humanitarian aid through its “Chivalrous Knight 3” operation. Alongside this, they’ve set up a 150-bed field hospital in Gaza and a Floating Hospital in Al Arish port, equipped with essential facilities to provide medical aid to those in need.
