Stree 2 Nears Box Office Milestone Set to Surpass film Jawan

Stree 2 is just ₹46 crore away from making history at the box office, trailing behind Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, the current highest-grossing Bollywood film in Hindi net collections. After 28 days in theaters, the Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer has maintained a strong and steady performance, with its domestic earnings reaching ₹536 crore.
As Stree 2 continues its impressive run, the film is on the verge of crossing a major milestone, securing its spot among Bollywood’s top earners. According to Sacnilk, the movie earned ₹3 crore on Wednesday, consistent with its Monday and Tuesday collections, and is expected to follow a similar trend before a potential boost over the weekend.
With minimal competition at the box office, Stree 2 is on track to surpass Jawan’s Hindi net total of ₹582 crore by next week. Although Kareena Kapoor’s The Buckingham Murders releases on Friday, the Hansal Mehta-directed thriller isn’t expected to impact Stree 2’s momentum. Globally, Stree 2 has already grossed over ₹760 crore and is projected to end its run around ₹830 crore.
Despite falling short of the worldwide box office totals of Jawan (₹1,100 crore) and Pathaan (₹1,050 crore), Stree 2 stands out as the most profitable, produced on a modest budget of ₹130 crore.
At the recent IIFA 2024 press conference in Mumbai, Shah Rukh Khan praised Abhishek Banerjee for his performance in Stree 2, with Abhishek visibly awestruck. SRK humorously noted his long-awaited return to IIFA, joking about his sporadic appearances due to shooting commitments.
