Shah Rukh Khan Reunites with Anirudh After ‘Jawan’, Latter to Work on Theme Music of ‘King’

Shah Rukh Khan is set to collaborate again with music composer Anirudh Ravichander, who previously worked on the 2023 hit movie “Jawan.” According to Pinkvilla, SRK was “very happy” with Anirudh’s work on “Jawan,” leading him to bring the composer on board for his upcoming film, “King.” Anirudh is reportedly excited about the project and is expected to start working on the theme music in August 2024.
#### Film and Production Details
“King,” described as a unique action thriller, will introduce a new flavor of action to audiences. Shah Rukh Khan, along with producers Siddharth Anand and Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, and director Sujoy Ghosh, understand the crucial role of background music in such a film, hence their decision to hire Anirudh. The pre-production work for “King” has already begun, and filming is expected to start by August 2024. An official announcement, possibly via a video asset, is anticipated soon.
#### Cast and Character Insights
The film may also feature SRK’s daughter, Suhana Khan. Shah Rukh Khan is set to portray a Don, a role with shades of grey, reminiscent of his iconic character in the “Don” series.
#### SRK’s Current Schedule and Plans
Shah Rukh Khan shared insights about his busy schedule while speaking on Star Sports’ Knight Club’s King Khan Rules. After three major releases in the previous year—”Pathaan,” “Jawan,” and “Dunki”—and their physically demanding roles, SRK decided to take a break to focus on his IPL cricket team, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). He mentioned that his next shooting schedule starts in June or August, allowing him to attend the IPL matches freely.
