In a candid interview with Galatta India, Samantha shared that she sustained a concussion during filming, leading to temporary memory loss.

A Stunt Gone Wrong: Samantha’s Concussion Experience

While discussing her experience on set, Samantha recalled a moment that left a lasting impact. She shared, “I had a concussion and completely blanked out. I even forgot names for a while.” Although the severity of her injury was evident, Samantha jokingly added, “No one took me to the hospital. No one asked me.” This light-hearted comment, however, underlines the intensity of the situation.

Despite the injury, Samantha’s determination to continue shooting was evident. She mentioned that even during her concussion, she was eager to get back to work, especially because they had limited time at the location. She recalled, “I remember hearing that we only had the set for a day, and I thought, ‘I need to get back.’ But, of course, I wasn’t allowed to continue.”
Sita Menon, the show’s writer, later clarified that a doctor was available on set. However, Samantha humorously pointed out that her concussion likely erased any memory of that assistance.

Citadel: Honey Bunny is part of a broader spy-thriller universe, a spinoff of the original Citadel series starring Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden. The upcoming series takes viewers back to the 90s, exploring the background of Priyanka’s character’s parents, portrayed by Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Varun Dhawan.
The series promises thrilling action and an intriguing plot, with Samantha and Varun playing pivotal roles as agents in the Citadel spy agency.
