Following Kangana Ranaut’s questioning of Bollywood’s response to the slap incident she endured, several celebrities including Anupam Kher, Shabana Azmi, Raveena Tandon, and Shekhar Suman have weighed in on the matter.
Shabana Azmi expressed her reservations about celebrating the slap, emphasizing the importance of security personnel adhering to the law rather than resorting to violence.
Anupam Kher expressed regret over the incident, condemning the abuse of power by a woman against another woman. He stressed the need for legal action while acknowledging the victim’s sentiments.
Shekhar Suman denounced the incident as profoundly wrong and tragic, emphasizing that such violence should never occur.

The incident occurred shortly after Kangana’s electoral victory in the Lok Sabha elections, where she secured a significant number of votes. She was reportedly assaulted by a CISF constable named Kulwinder Kaur at the Chandigarh airport while en route to Delhi.
The response from these celebrities reflects a broader societal concern regarding violence against women and the need for appropriate measures to address such incidents.
