Marc Anthony electrified the Latin American Music Awards 2024 with the world premiere of his latest single “Ale Ale,” setting the stage for his much-anticipated upcoming album. The song, with its catchy “ale, ale, ale” refrain, is already being hailed as a potential summer hit.
The renowned New York-born Puerto Rican artist, known for his pivotal role in modern salsa, proved yet again why he is considered one of the standout vocalists of our time. Clad in a sleek all-black ensemble complete with a long-sleeve button-up adorned with leather straps and his signature sunglasses, Anthony exuded the aura of a rock star as he reveled in the adulation of his fans, who were energized by the vibrant rhythms of his new track.
The atmosphere was charged with a spirit of unity and Latin pride as attendees from various countries waved their national flags.
The awards ceremony took place on Thursday, April 25, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and was broadcast live on Univision, marking a notable moment in entertainment history with its bilingual presentation — a first for any major U.S. award show.
This year’s ceremony saw heavy competition with Feid and Peso Pluma leading the nominations, each securing 12 nods including for the prestigious artist of the year and album of the year categories. They were closely followed by industry heavyweights such as Bad Bunny and Grupo Frontera, both receiving 11 nominations, and Karol G and Shakira, each with 9. Eslabon Armado and Fuerza Regida also made significant impacts with 8 nominations each.
The event was co-hosted by Thalia, Becky G, Alejandra Espinoza, and Carlos Ponce, who presented awards in both English and Spanish, reflecting the show’s inclusive spirit.
