Jamie Dornan Drops Exciting Hint: Season 3 of ‘The Tourist’ Might Embrace Dutch Charm and Culture
The BBC’s exciting Aussie thriller “The Tourist,” starring Jamie Dornan and Danielle Macdonald, has really grabbed people’s attention all around the world. People are super curious about what’s next for the show after Season 2 ended with such a nail-biter. Jamie Dornan, who plays the main character in “The Tourist,” recently spilled some beans about the possibility of Season 3, which has got fans buzzing.
So, “The Tourist” kicks off with this crazy story where Jamie Dornan’s character is being chased through the Australian wilderness. He has this huge crash and loses his memory, then teams up with Probationary Constable Helen Chambers, played by Danielle Macdonald, to figure out who he is while dodging all sorts of dangers.
Season 2 of “The Tourist” takes things up a notch as Elliot Stanley (that’s Jamie Dornan’s character) and Helen Chambers end up in Ireland, digging deeper into Elliot’s murky past. But, of course, things get even more complicated as they uncover stuff they weren’t expecting.
In a chat with Entertainment Weekly, Jamie Dornan talked about what might be next for the show. He’s not totally sure about Season 3 yet, but he hinted that talks are happening and mentioned the idea of the next chapter possibly being set in Holland.
He’s actually quite keen on the idea, mentioning how much he loves the Dutch and the beauty of the Netherlands, which has got everyone intrigued about where the story could go next.
Interestingly, Jamie Dornan let slip to Digital Spy that “The Tourist” was initially only supposed to be one season. But because it went down so well in the UK and Ireland, they decided to keep it going.
But despite its success, Jamie joked that he hopes they don’t keep it running forever. He said, “If we’re still here in 10 years talking about Season 8, just put me out of my misery.” So, he’s all about keeping the quality top-notch and not letting things drag on too long.
