Kia India has launched its flagship electric SUV, the EV9, in a fully-loaded GT-Line variant priced at ₹1.3 crore (ex-showroom). This SUV is powered by a 99.8 kWh battery and dual electric motors that deliver 384 bhp and 700 Nm of torque, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds. With an impressive ARAI-certified range of 561 km, it can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes using a 350kW DC fast charger. The EV9 prioritizes safety with 20 standard features, including a Level 2 ADAS suite with 27 autonomous functions. Measuring 5,015 mm in length, it surpasses the Toyota Fortuner in size and competes against high-end electric SUVs such as the Mercedes EQS, Audi Q8 e-tron, and BMW iX.

In terms of dimensions, the EV9 measures 5,015 mm in length, 1,780 mm in height (including roof rails), and 1,980 mm in width, giving it a commanding road presence and making it larger than the Toyota Fortuner, which measures 4,795 mm in length, 1,855 mm in width, and 1,835 mm in height.
The Kia EV9 competes with high-end electric SUVs such as the Mercedes EQS, Audi Q8 e-tron, and BMW iX, which are priced at ₹1.62 crore, ₹1.15 crore to ₹1.27 crore, and ₹1.40 crore, respectively.
