Wipro Appoints Sandhya Arun as CTO Following Subha Tatavarti’s Departure

Wipro has named Sandhya Arun as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO), effective immediately, following the resignation of Subha Tatavarti, who stepped down to pursue opportunities outside the company. Arun, who has been with Wipro for eight years in various leadership roles, has played a key role in driving technological innovation, digital transformation, and the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) at the company, according to an internal email.
In her new role, Arun will report to Chief Technology and Strategy Officer Hari Shetty. As a founding leader of Wipro Digital, her strategic efforts were crucial in advancing clients’ digital transformation initiatives. Most recently, as Vice President and AI Transformation Strategist, she led Wipro’s AI capabilities, contributing to client success and organizational growth.
Wipro highlighted Arun’s 30-year career, noting her versatility across technology consulting, cloud and engineering transformation, digital commerce, and marketing. The company is continuing its organizational restructuring under new CEO Srini Pallia, with recent elevations including Nanda Kishore as Chief of Delivery and Operational Excellence and Dilip Dialani as COO of Americas One. Additionally, the role of Chief Information Security Officer Aathir Ahad has been elevated. Meanwhile, senior executive Ajit Mahale, who joined Wipro under former CEO Thierry Delaporte, has decided to leave the firm.
