Indian Government Alerts Businesses to Significant Microsoft Security Vulnerability

Microsoft’s enterprise suite, Dynamics 365, which serves numerous businesses globally, including in India, is facing a critical security risk. The Indian government has issued an alert through its security agency, the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), highlighting the high severity of this issue.

Details of the Security Risk:

According to CERT-In, a vulnerability in Microsoft Dynamics 365 could allow remote attackers to gain elevated privileges on affected systems. The report explains that the vulnerability stems from weak authentication processes in Dynamics 365, enabling attackers to bypass authentication mechanisms.
Microsoft has been notified and has issued a patch to address this issue. CERT-In advises immediate installation of the update for systems running Dynamics 365 Field Service (on-premises) v7 series to mitigate the risk.
This alert is part of a broader series of security threats targeting Windows users, impacting businesses that rely on Microsoft’s systems for their operations.
