Citadel: Honey Bunny, starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, is receiving praise as an “edgy, cult, and delicious” addition to the Citadel universe. Directed by Raj & DK, the series, which serves as a 1990s-set prequel to the original Citadel, follows Varun and Samantha as the parents of Priyanka Chopra’s character. Early reviews from its star-studded premiere commend the show’s gripping storyline and standout performances. It will stream on Prime Video starting November 7, 2024.
Varun Dhawan makes his OTT debut in *Citadel: Honey Bunny*, a prequel to Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden’s *Citadel*, directed by The Russo Brothers. Helmed by Raj & DK, the series stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu alongside Varun, portraying parents to Chopra’s character from the original series and set in the 1990s.
Ahead of its November 7, 2024 release on Prime Video, a star-studded premiere received rave reviews. Nimrat Kaur called it a “mad, brilliant ride” and described it as “edgy, cult, gritty, and delicious.” Filmmaker Shashank Khaitan praised the first episode, commending Varun, Samantha, Saqib Saleem, and Sikander Kher, calling the show a “winner.” Neha Dhupia also shared her excitement, stating it was “spectacular” and “will blow your socks off.”
*Citadel: Honey Bunny* also stars Saqib Saleem, Sikander Kher, Simran Bagga, and Kay Kay Menon, and follows *Citadel* and *Citadel: Diana*, already streaming on Prime Video.
