Vijayta Pandit, widow of music composer Aadesh Shrivastava, recently opened up about her struggle to get support for her son, Avitesh Shrivastava, in the film industry. In an interview with Lehren Retro, she expressed her disappointment, noting that despite Avitesh’s hard work as a singer, composer, and actor, he hasn’t received the backing he needs. She also reached out to Shah Rukh Khan, whom she described as a close friend of her late husband, asking for help in advancing her son’s career.
Recalling her husband’s final days, Vijayta shared how Aadesh, before passing away in 2015, had asked Shah Rukh Khan to look after their son. She mentioned that Shah Rukh had visited Aadesh in the hospital, and before he died, Aadesh held his hand, gesturing for him to support their son. Vijayta now says she has been unable to contact Shah Rukh, as the number given to her son is no longer working. She reminded the actor of his promise and emphasized that her family needs his support, especially since she is not working and her son is their future.
Vijayta also suggested that Shah Rukh could produce a film starring her son under his production company, Red Chillies Entertainment. She highlighted Avitesh’s talent, noting his upcoming film *Sir Ek Friday*, which will have an OTT release. Despite her struggles to reach Shah Rukh, she expressed hope that he would honor his promise, especially since her family, including her brothers, the music composer duo Jatin-Lalit, played a key role in Shah Rukh’s success by providing hit songs for his films like *Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge* and *Kuch Kuch Hota Hai*.
