Emergency stars Kangana Ranaut as Indira Gandhi, with Anupam Kher as Jayaprakash Narayan, Shreyas Talpade as Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Mahima Chaudhry as Pupul Jayakar, Milind Soman as Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, and the late Satish Kaushik as Jagjivan Ram. Ritesh Shah wrote the screenplay. After numerous delays, the film is slated for a global release on September 6, 2024.
